The Rector Fund
Student Government and the Office of Student Affairs do not want ANYONE to miss out on the "Notre Dame experience." If you or someone you know does not have money available to pay for things like football and basketball tickets, section dinners, hall dance tickets, concerts on campus, Appalachia Seminar trips, retreats, JPW, or other "quality of life" events at ND, the Rector Fund can help.
Who?
The Rector Fund is for students who have demonstrated financial need. All money allocated to students from the Rector Fund gets reported to the Office of Financial Aid. If the total money you receive from the Rector Fund for the year is under $300, the Rector Fund money should not affect your financial aid package.
What?
The Rector Fund can be used to cover most events or activities sponsored by the residence halls, Student Government, Student Activities, or the University. Students may also use money from the Rector Fund to cover ALL or only PART of the cost of an activity if they prefer to do so. Money can be used by students for event tickets (including JPW), ND sports tickets, retreats, seminar fees for service trips, and other similar events. If you're not sure whether your request would fit in the parameters of the Rector Fund, ASK! Your rector can always make the request.
Why?
The Rector Fund was created by students, for students, with the hope that no student would have to miss out on the events that make life at Notre Dame fun.
How?
If you would like to access the Rector Fund, contact any rector on campus. The rector, in turn, can request money on behalf of the student from the Vice President for Student Affairs. The process is confidential. Off-campus students may contact any rector on campus who would be in a position to make a recommendation on the student's behalf.
