Ordained as a priest in Holy Cross in 1979, Father John Conley received both a B.A. in History and a Master of Divinity degree from the University of Notre Dame. He also received a Master's degree in Education from Loyola University of Chicago. Father John served as teacher and assistant principal of Notre Dame High School for Boys in Niles, Illinois, as well as principal of Bourgade Catholic High School in Phoenix, Arizona. Before he became the rector of Siegfried Hall in 1997, he was the Director of Vocations for the Indiana Province of the Congregation of Holy Cross. During this time, he had lived in residence at Alumni Hall.
