Following a two-year stint in England as rector of the undergraduate London Program, Rev. James Lewis, O.Carm., took over as rector of Carroll Hall in the fall of 2001. Prior to his time in London, Fr. Jim spent three years as a social worker in Joliet, IL, as well as six years working as a teacher, campus minister, and member of the administrative team at Joliet Catholic Academy. He also taught for four years at Mount Carmel High School in Chicago, IL.
Fr. Jim received a Master of Social Work degree from Loyola University of Chicago in 1996, an M.Div. from Washington Theological Union in 1985, and a B.A. from Marquette in 1976. His other interests include traveling, spending time in the mountains of Colorado, and avidly rooting for his favorite baseball team, the Chicago Cubs.
