What was your first impression of ND when you arrived on campus?

My first impression was that this was a pretty campus ( I came when it was sunny and fairly warm), but that it was a world away from my own home and what I was familiar with.

What are your favorite things about student life at ND?

I like the energy and excitement that takes place at different sporting events. There is so much school spirit. I like the weekends and mealtimes the most, because that is when I can just relax and hang out with my friends. I also like the different groups that I am apart of.

What prompted you to choose a major in Political Science?

I want to make a positive impact on this world and the lives of others both in the U.S. and around the world. I believe that studying Political Science helps me to obtain a better understanding the issues that exist around us.

Extra-curricular involvement:

I am involved in Voices of Faith Gospel Choir, Shades of Ebony, Tolson Recreational Center, CSOUND (Caribbean Student Organization of the University of Notre Dame) and I also work in Bond Hall Computer Cluster.

What do you think makes ND unique from other universities?

I believe Notre Dame’s strong Catholic community and tradition make it unique. The very active alumni association, high standards of academics, and school spirit also make this school unique.

What are some of the things you enjoy about living in the residence hall?

I love the camaraderie that exists in the dorms. I love the friendships that I have formed through dorm life and I love my rectress, Ms. Kuukua!

Do you have any words of wisdom to offer an incoming ND student?

I would tell them that college is a time of change and growth. These two things can be very frightening at first and are often easier talked about than actually done. However, it is something that you must embrace and respect. The real reason that you come here is to grow and become an even better person than you already are.
